This knit is constructed from a blend of mercerized Merino wool and cotton, making it an ideal trans seasonal garment. Merino wool is valued for its warmth, insulation and moisture-wicking properties, moving perspiration and moisture away from the body and towards the surface of the fabric. The natural crimp and scales on the wool fibres create tiny pockets of air that allow for moisture to be absorbed and released quickly. The addition of cotton improves the durability and shape of the garment. Cotton fibres add strength and stability, reducing stretching and sagging over time. Cotton contributes to the blend's softness and smoothness, ensuring a comfortable feel against the skin. Like wool, cotton is also highly breathable, allowing air circulation and preventing overheating.
