Provenance
Fibre Source
This garment has been entirely spun, knitted and made in Mikazura in Japan's Wakayama Prefecture. The workshop is located near Kimii-dera temple, which is the second temple of the Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage. It is also the so-called birthplace of circular knitting fabric in Japan. Our workshop was established in 1964 and specialises in manufacturing high gauge jersey from natural fibres. Combining the spirit and skill of artisan-rich Japan, consider this t-shirt an heirloom piece.
Performance
Made from cotton selected from the hand-picked 'Masters' bales, of which just 100 cotton bales are produced every year, the fibre in this garment is a 34mm ELS ( extra-long staple) that has been finely combed. The result is a strong and durable fabric with a lustrous feel that feels sublime against the skin, and is created to last.
