The Merino wool used in this garment was produced by 100% Australian Merino woolgrowers. Known for its unparalleled softness and comfort, Merino wool is a high-performance fibre perfect for all seasons. It is breathable and moisture-wicking, transporting perspiration and moisture away from the body and towards the surface of the fabric. The natural crimp and scales on the wool fibres create tiny pockets of air that allow for moisture to be absorbed and released quickly. Merino wool is also wrinkle-resistant, making it a terrifically low-maintenance option (particularly when it comes to travelling).

Construction

M.J. Bale shirts feature all the hallmarks of the British shirtmaking tradition. Our Casual Fit shirts feature single-needle French side seams with shaped side gussets, four-piece back split yoke, pleated cuffs, a long shirt tail, non-fused collar & cuff interlinings and constructed front placket. These details contribute to a superior fitting garment and more durable wear.
